Some Phrases



Slaving: working hard.

Chaos: complete confusion or disorder.

Rummage: search something very hurriedly or carelessly.

Scrap out: remove something from inside another thing using a sharp tool.

Stumble over: fall over each other while walking.

Accomplish: finish successfully or achieve what you wanted.

Uncanny: strange or something that is difficult to explain or understand.

Fuss: noise, mess or row (the synonyms of noise).

Search for: to look somewhere to find something.

Mess about: to behave in a strange or stupid way.

Possessions: things that one owns.

On trust: without proof, or without checking.

Put off: post-pone.

Insist on: ask something with determination.

To rest with: be left in the charge of someone.

At stake: in a position of winning or losing.

Consult with: to take advice from anyone.

Tremble: to shake or quack.

Conceal: hide.

Laden: full of.
